NOTE:
Condition and moisture content of grain or hay will definitely affect mill's capacity.
Extremely dry grain will reduce capacity. This would occur when moisture content is below
10%. Likewise, shelled grain above 20% moisture content will reduce capacity. 20-25%
moisture grin will reduce capacity 25%. with 25-30% moisture grain capacity drops 35%. Ear
corn above 20% in moisture content will similarly reduce capacity. Hay in excess of 12%
moisture content is extremely difficult to grind and we do not recommend the mill for
grinding hay in excess of this moisture content. Hay which has been stored outside and
exposed to rain, even though it has dried, will be difficult to grind and as a result will
reduce capacity. If you have any questions regarding the grinding of any product, please
do not hesitate to ask our opinion.
